In the previous set, Azhwar is surprised by perumal as he wants to take azhwar to his divine above with his physical body and is waiting for Aazhwar's approval. Azhwar refuses this but ends up eulogizing perumal's love for azhwar.
Once he does this, he realizes the following. Today he is so enamoured about taking me to his divine abode, but why did he not think that till yesterday? This sets the stage for the exchange of "words". This is an exact compliment to மாற்றமுள. There kaliyan ended the conversation as he did not want to waste time because perumal could keep coming back with arguments. Here Azhwar stops the conversation as perumal was struck and could not provide valid arguments to Azhwar :-)
இன்று இவ்வளவு தவிக்கும் நீர், இதற்கு முன் ஒன்றும் செய்யாதது ஏன்?
" கூவிக் கொள்ளும் காலம் இன்னம் குறுகாதோ " என்று கதறும் போது வரவில்லை. "
இதற்கு எம்பெருமான் சொன்ன பதில் என்ன? என்று நஞ்சீயர் பட்டரை கேட்ட போது, "சொல்வதற்கு என்ன இருக்கிறது? காலாலே தரையை கீறி நின்றார் " என்றருளினார்.
இது நிராங்குச ச்வாதந்த்த்ரியத்தாலே நடந்தது என்று ஆழ்வார் தானே களித்து பேசுகின்றார்.
