Indhalur Andhanan - Part IV

OK finally .. frustration mounts .. and does it show :-)

When I come without any decrease in my desire to see you (even when you are ignoring me), is it fair/correct that this happens?

I am coming to know, showing the whole world that I am your servant. But you do not show me your vibrant form which is resplendent.

Since you dont think it is worth showing it to me, you enjoy it yourself!!

Normally in this world, when one likes another and if such a feeling is not reciprocated, the desire reduces and results total rejection of the other person. Unfortunately in this case, Azhwar is so helpless. The more perumal ignores him, the more Azhwar's desire is and so he is feeling totally despondent as the world around is teasing him!

வாசி வல்லீர் - Azhwar is basically questioning if perumal is partial here. Perumal is supposed to not differentiate between his devotees. It appears to Azhwar that Perumal behaves as if his divine form is only for the divine souls in his abode and not for lesser mortals like him. After all, the reason for perumal to have so many temples (Divya desams) is to provide such a darshan to lesser mortals. So all the more reason that his behaviour is unacceptable.

வாழ்ந்தே போம் நீரே - Final insult :-) If instead of thinking that your divide body and its vision is for everyone, you think it is only for the divine souls, then you yourself enjoy your body!! It is better in the original Tamil description :-) So I am reproducing it below!

You would think Azhwar would have got darshan by now :-)
