Chakra, Vel and then just the Tamizh Malai

The above song is the Sattru (last) of the 2nd set of 10 songs(தூவிரிய)  for Thiruvali. In this song Azhwar refers to the chakra (divine discus in the lords hands) doused in ghee (clarified butter). The question is why? Apparently Chakkrathazhwar is jobless due to the fact that there is nothing in the universe that needs his attention. How can that be possible as he represents the sankalpa sakthi (divine thought) of the lord himself.

It is because ( கை இலங்கு வேல் கலியன் ) Azhwar has come to this world with his spear in hand and so he is taking care of all activities!!

This stream of thought is taken up further to the second phase where even the spear is not needed nor is Azhwar. Reason being (கண்டுரைத்த தமிழ் மாலை ) that , Azhwar's divine outpourings take care of all governance functions and they are sufficient for the sustenance of the universe!!

Needless to say, all of this was given to me by paravasthu swami.
